About
JODY COOK, BA / BSW / MSW / RSW / SEP/ PMH-C
I am a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years experience in the social work field, located centrally in Edmonton near the Brewery District as well as on the Southside near 91 Street and 51 Ave.
I strongly believe that every individual possesses the innate capacity for healing and growth. Using a client-centered and strength based approach, my goal is to offer a comfortable space to work collaboratively with clients to support them in achieving the goals they set for themselves. I believe increased self-awareness supports opportunities for positive change and will invite clients to increase their awareness of mind-body connection and nervous system regulation (ex. fight, flight, freeze survival responses). Increased awareness helps provide individuals the opportunity to develop new patterns that contribute to improved emotional regulation, and improved ability to tolerate and cope with stress/distress more effectively.
I am a registered social worker in Alberta, British Columbia and Northwest Territories.
I am located in the Edmonton area, and offer in person or online therapy in Edmonton, Alberta and online therapy for individuals and couples in the Northwest Territories.
