JODY COOK, BA / BSW / MSW
I have been a social worker for over 20 years. I have primarily worked in the areas of Women's Maternal Health and Adoption since 2010. I have advanced training in Maternal Mental Health.
My areas of special interest and expertise include depression, anxiety, postpartum mood disorders, birth trauma, parental challenges, relationship issues including challenges experienced as a result of adjusting to parenthood, grief and loss, relationship issues, and adjustment to new or stressful life circumstances. I offer group therapy for women experiencing postpartum depression and/or postpartum anxiety. My goal is to work collaboratively with clients in order to support individuals and couples in achieving goals they have set for themselves using a client-centered and strength based approach.
I am a registered social worker in both Alberta and Northwest Territories.
I am located in the Edmonton area, and offer in person or online therapy in Edmonton, Alberta and online therapy for individuals and couples in the Northwest Territories.
